How can I activate my phone to use it as a wi-fi zone?
I have a Pantech Burst 9070. When trying to configure it, it displays is to go to att.com/mywireless or dial 611

You need to have a data plan that allows tethering in order to use your phone as a portable WiFi hotspot. If you don't have such a data plan, that is why the phone is telling you to contact AT&T.
