Hello @Barbjer,

Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums! I can help you get the most out of your device!

To get the most out of your SDcard there are 2 main things you should do. The first is set the SDcard as the default storage for the camera. To do this please complete the following steps:

  • From any Home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
  • Tap Camera.
  • Tap the Settings gear icon.
  • Tap the Settings gear icon in the pop-up window.
  • Tap Storage location.
  • Tap Save location.
  • Select SD card

Also you can move files off of the phone’s internal storage to the SD card. Please complete these steps:

  • From any Home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
  • Tap File Manager.
  • Tap All files.
  • Navigate  to the files you want to move.
  • Tap and hold on the file, a green check will appear to the right.
  • Place a check next to any additional files you want to move.
  • Tap Move.
  • Navigate to where you want to move the files or folders.
  • Tap Paste.

This should help you free up space on the internal storage and then allow you to download more apps.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

The "solution" above didn't really touch on moving APPS to sd card. Not all phone support moving apps to sd card. Also very few apps can be moved. And it is a pain to find which one can be moved. But this is how you do it:

Go to app manager (not file manager), select an app, then storage. One next screen, if the app can be moved, you will see a "change" button, hit that and the storage location will change from internal to sd card or vice versa. If you do not see the "change" button, that means that app is not movable.

I can't figure out if I can transfer from Google Photos app from my phone to the SD card.  Will my pics be deleted entirely if I delete this Photos app from the phone to clear memory, or will it remain accessible from any device like tablet, PC, etc.?  I'm afraid to touch it!

Any help PLEASE, thank you much!

@Salsamom Uninstalling the app will only remove your access to the photos if you've chosen to have photos & video to be backed-up to your cloud (you can toggle this in settings). If your photos are only saved locally (internal storage or micro SD) then they can be viewed with your stock Gallery app.
