phone contract

Once I finish my contract will I still have to pay the same amount for the device or does my amount goes down?

That's a very weirdly worded question.

When you finish paying for the device, you're done paying for the device (but that's not necessarily a contract). If you're on an old contract plan, you keep paying the same even after 2 years as it's just a contract and not technically paying for the actual device. Yes, it got a weirdly worded answer, but what follows is probably what you actually want to know...

Here's the important part:

  • If you are using Next, then YES it will go down when you complete your payments..
  • If you are on Mobile Share Advantage or Mobile Share Value or (new) Unlimited DirecTV, YES it will go down.
  • Old grandfathered minute plans / grandfathered unlimited plans, NO it stays the same when you complete your contract (unless you added a Next line).

I may have left something out, so tell us what plan you have...
