Hello @Captaincosmo!

Let's look into that for you. Try resolving your experience by restarting your mobile Hot Spot device or moving it to another area in your house to improve signal strength.

Let us know how this worked for you.

It doesn't seem to be signal strength or frame timing….seems to be in the newer cell phone protocols that let everbody use everbodies towers

Hello @Captaincosmo,

Thank you for informing us. We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you. Are you referring to a personal mobile hotspot that can be turned on in the settings of a cell phone, or a dedicated mobile hotspot device? What kind of cell phone or dedicated mobile hotspot device are you using? Also, are you having any issues with your mobile hotspot's internet connection, or is the issue only that it is showing this error message? Please let us know. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Zte maven 3, att branded, prepaid actt acct with 8 gig data..cell phone, always works, only internet connection I have is the mobile hot spot function on the zte…so if I got the error message I got no internet….this problem comes and goes…it's probably frame timing

I have a mobile hotspot device that loses connection to the tower all the time. The problem started when ATT made our tower 5g compatible. ATT is aware of the issue but wont admit it until eough people are affected or they dont have a solution. My phone works flawlessly in the same location, if I make it a hotspot. It a problem w 5g towers and stand alone hotspot devices. We are calling today to switch to Verizon, after 15yrs w ATT.

Hello @Supersix82, We'd like to look into why your Roku stick PlayStation doesn't connect to your mobile hotspot.

With some details, we can work towards a resolution that works for you:

  • Have you tried connecting other devices besides your Roku stick PlayStation to your mobile hotspot? If so, do those devices connect?
  • Have you been able to connect your game to your mobile hotspot in the past?

Please let us know so we can provide further research.

I have always been able to connect my PlayStation and Roku to stream movies but since the last software update I'm not able to the only thing that will connect to my Hotspot is another phone now
