Hello, lordie!
Thanks for posting. After poking around a bit, I did stumble on a possible explanation on the Phandroid Forums:
"While reading the Android User's Guide PDF I discovered that green means "connected to Google" and white or gray means not connected to Google."
It might be a good idea to find this Android User's Guide to confirm, but it seems like it could be a plausible explanation.

and they said because it was searching for signal that's why it was white green white green white
