authentication problem on wireless on new phone

had to replace my phone.  At home with ATT I can't use the wi fi on the new phone as I get "AUTHENTICATION PROBLEM".  The wireless is working on all other devices in the home and worked on my old phone (which is the same as the new phone...just got a replacement for other issues).

I can connect to other wireless services but not to the home one.

Hi there @katzmeow4me!

Thank you so much for bringing this wonderful question to our Community Forums! I completely understand how important it is to be able to connect to your home Wi-Fi. It would be joy to assist in helping you get this resolved!

It sounds like the phone doesn’t currently know your network’s password. Luckily there is a super simple way to resolve this. What you will want to do is first go to your Settings then Wi-Fi, after this you will see a list displayed. Please click on your home network name. When you click it, a pop up should ask for a password. When this shows, please enter your Internet password into the required fields.

After this, you will be able to successfully connect to your home’s Wi-Fi. If you do not currently have your password, not to worry; the best thing is to contact your Internet provider for help in obtaining it.

I hope this helps! If anything should arise such as more questions, feel free to let us know. We are always happy to help to the fullest. Have a fantastic rest of your week!
