Wifi calling on S7 not working

I set up wifi calling on my Galaxy S7 at my parent's house where I have no cell reception, but the wifi calling didn't work. No messages or calls came in. What else do you need to do after you set it up?

Hi there @Jamoehope!

My apologies for the trouble you’ve been having with your Wi-Fi Calling. This is an excellent service, sorry for the inconvenience!

After the initial set up, and the input of the e911 information, no other action should be needed to use Wi Fi Calling.

When you try placing calls or sending messages do you receive any kind of error message? Are you able to access the internet on the phone over the Wi Fi network?

One thing to start with would be to clear the cache for the Wi-Fi Calling app on the phone. If you go to Settings > Device > Applications > Application Manager > Show System Apps, you should be able to find it listed there!

Let us know if you have any further questions, we’re always glad to help!

My Samsung S7 phone does not show WiFi calling as an option, and I checked if I had the newest version or not as well. I purchased an Unlocked International Version, as well. Not sure if that matters, I was told it wouldn't.

Non branded att phones don't get enhanced LTE services which includes wifi calling. You would had to buy a att branded s7

It's AT&T crappy service, mine works half the time. I was on a WiFi call today, it dropped and when I went to them back it didn't work and said no mobil network available. No WiFi calling for the next 10 minutes then I gave up. Seems to work whenever it wants and mostly not when I want.

I've had 2 different Samsung att phones from work and it's the same with both. Rarely works, seems like a no brainer but what do I know. I've tried to search for the last couple years and nothing. Thanks att, ur amazing!!

My Wi-Fi calling was working earlier. I took the sim and tried it in a new phone [a present for my son] and replaced it... My s7 decided to request that I turn Wi-Fi calling back on.  I tried an keep getting the

.. try later  message. It's not even really cycling... it's just popping the message out

An unlocked xperia xz... Oddly, though, I think I was in the right track...
The Sim somehow picked up the fact that the Sony was not authorized, and
got a signal that Wi-Fi can not operate... About an hour later, I tried
again and WiFi calling is set and working.
