Which Huawei Phone for ATT?

Hi

Which Huawei phones will run on my ATT mobile service?

I'm wondering is the Hauwei Mate 10 Pro will work.

Otherwise would the Hauwei Mate 20, or Mate 20 Pro work?

Thanks

Hi, @m4932300,

We'd love to help with this. If you get the IMEI of the device you want to bring over to AT&T as a carrier, there is a page where you can check compatibility with the network. While the device maybe compatible with the network, it may not be compatible with AT&T's LTE network. For further information on Huawei, you may need to contact the company directly.

Have a great week!

Hi. I have a Huawei P20 Pro that is listed as 4G. I have been using this phone for more than 2 years on ATnT. But in the last week, my mobile data stopped working. A rep at ATnT told me it is because my phone is 3G,which ATn T no longer supports.. But my P20 Pro is 4G. Has ATn T banned use of Huawei P20 pro on their mobile data platform? Thanks

Thanks for your response. I don't see Huawei phones there. This change must have been recent. I guess i will have to find a way to dispose the phone and then get a certified device as per the document you posted.

The change has been talked about for a year now.  Huawei is not allowed to use us companies as they got flagged as a US security threat.

I have a Huwei P40 and AT&T has been threatening to shut off my 5G phone for months because it's '3G'.  They incorrectly list it as an iPhone X.

T-Mobile recognizes Huawei devices without issue, but not AT&T.  AT&T's CEO has express much anti-China sentiment in the past, I'm pretty sure that's what we're dealing with.

Happy to take my money, happy to send me a garbage phone for free, but won't add some of the most popular phones on the planet to their network.

I've been told a flag has been put on my P40 that will ensure I don't get purged in February, but judging by ATT's horrible customer service, I'm not so confident.  It took me about 9 phone calls and 7 hours of blather with horrible ATT customer service to get to that point

I got them to say they would't remove my phone from my account after they started sending me texts saying they were sending me a free repalcement phone, without my asking.  Did it cost $1200 like my P40?  lol no.   I called them back and told them if they sent me some crappy phone to replace my top of the line P40 that I would sell their phone and switch to T-Mo.  I will too.

That's when they told me they were able to flag my phone as a keeper when their 3g purge begins.

Kind of pathetic how AT&T won't add phones from the biggest seller of phones on the planet.  My spouse is getting Huawei as well, she's been with ATT far longer than I.  If they give us any trouble, we'll both switch to TMO.
