When you have an app pending or download pending what does this mean exactly?
when selecting an app from Google play store, an it says download pending, what does this mean ,an how do I get the app to start installing it's been an hour already.?

Tap on the X button to stop the install then tap on Install again.

Welcome to the Community Forums! Having a delay in your app installing can definitely be confusing, and I would be happy to help.
Excellent advice @curiouscat! Restarting the download is a great way to make sure there are no errors keeping the app from fully reaching your phone. If you find this did not fix the issue, please power the phone off for 30 seconds and then back on.
Once the device is powered on, please see if the download will complete. Another good thing to check is if the download works better on Wi-Fi versus mobile data. I hope this information helps!
