Voicemail service not available
Phone: HTC A9
When accessing voicemail I get the "Service Not Available" message. It has been this way for the last 5 days ...
This is the first time this has happened in the last 4 years.

They are acknowledging it, just not being truthful.
Your agent is lying, or mine is. Mine said end of day it will be fixed. Why should I doubt her?

Your agent is likely lying. It will be fixed with 0 details can be summarized as..... we have no idea but I have to end this call so my call time average doesn't look bad.

Suggestion to AT&T: Drop this vendor and consider bringing _your_ service in-house. Unless you want to be known as just a reseller of vendor services with weak vendor service agreements. That doesn't seem a good long-term setup.

I use an AT&T MVNO, PureTalk, and only noticed this problem a couple of days ago because I get so few messages on my personal phone. My number is in the NC area. Just signed up for YouMail as recommended here, and I have to say am impressed. Visual voicemail, anti-spam AND blacklisting? Not too bad. If it continues to work as advertised I may just stick with it. Thanks to everyone who has been chiming in here.

My voicemail is finally working again. I should be happy but I'm still shocked it too this long and no one offered to compensate me for the downtime.

unreliable "Vendor" to pay my bills...and when AT&T asks for payment, I'll
transfer them to my Vendor. The unreliable Vendor won't pay AT&T either,
but, then, that's not my problem, is it? A problem transferred is a
problem solved !

My AT&T voicemail appears to be working now. I got in and out and now my notification that I have 2 new voicemail messages is gone. Yea! I got back in a second time to make sure this is not a fluke. I'm still going to keep using YouMail because I like it.
