Voicemail on Inspire 4G

I just recently switched from an iPhone to a Inspire and I am having an issue with voicemail.  I tried to set it up but it wants my to type a number that I am leaving a message for, doesn't recognize the number and it won't let me set it up, doesn't even give me any options to setup the voicemail.  Tried to contact customer care but no live person to talk to.  Any ideas??
