I have an LG VS880 phone I want to give to me granddaughter whose family has ATT service not Verizon. Will her family be able to activate this phone for her?

The Vista is sold for Verizon prepaid and should be unlocked. It will call, text and access data, but no MMS, no Wifi calling, and no hotspot.
