Trojan viris warning on my phone

What do I do if my phone is vibrating and saying "alert, your phone has been exposed to a dangerous Trojan virus"?

It is most likely adware. Asking you to "install virus cleaner, blah, blah....". DONT.

Be careful what you browse.

It did go to a thing asking me to install a security app and I didn't. So everything will be ok if I didn't install the app? I was just searching for a hotel I guess I'm not sure what being careful what you search means, can you elaborate please because I don't really know the do' s and don't of searching? Everything I know about the web has been kinda self learned through trial and error.
