Sony Xperia SP for goPhone data plan
I will visit US in August and would like to buy a SIM card for the $2/day plan. I need voice and data for google maps navigation. I will bring my Xperia SP with me, mainly in NYC and DC. But I don't know if the SP is compatible with AT&T 3G/4G network or not. The network spec of my SP is:
4G LTE 2100/1800/850/2600/900/800 MHz
UMTS/HSPA+ 850/900/2100 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Can someone tell me if the SP can us AT&T 3G/4G network?

thanks for the reply. do you know which band does AT&T use for their LTE and 3G data? I ask because my SP was bought in Hong KOng, not US. It is not locked to any carrier, but I am afraid the bands AT&T uses is not compatible with overseas phones.

Hi, I am also looking into this phone right now, the phone has difference models which support different radio frequencies:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - all versions
3G Network
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 - C5303
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - C5302
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - C5306
4G Network
LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - C5303
LTE 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - C5306

AT&T's frequency is as follows, I will test it out once I have the phone, I ordered the C5306 model. I will test it out on both AT&T and T-Mobile too.

I don't believe you'll be able to use the C5306 with AT&T LTE.
AT&T tech support and I have tried for 3 days, and no go. Not only can AT*T not apply an LTE compatible data plan to the IMEI, but it seems like one of the frequencies the C5306 uses for LTE is not the one AT*T uses for LTE.
Also, the phone will not work with an AT*T 3G microcell. The microcell will not accept it as a device to connect to.
