Hello and good afternoon @Katiemollybig3!

We understand you want to reactivate your PREPAID account after 2 years of inactivity.  AT&T definitively appreciates the fact you want to restore service with AT&T.  I will be happy to answer the questions for you.

Yes, you will need to get  a new SIM card and a new phone number.  Your old account has expired and you would to start a brand new phone.  Here is a link to our store locator.  Just enter zip code and do a search, it will locate the stores nearest to you.  I recommend you click on “Shop this store:” when you find an ideal location. This way you can setup a appointment so you can quickly get in and out.

Thank you for reaching out via the Community Forums, and have a stupendous weekend.
