Screen will not rotate. I powered down. Removed battery, replaced battery, restarted, and still no luck. I have tried every solution I found on line, no luck.
Oh no! I do apologize that your screen is no longer rotating! I will be happy to assist you with this today!
When you pull down the notification drawer from the top of your screen to show all of the icons, do you see an option for screen rotation? Let’s make sure this is turned on.
There is also an option for Smart rotation, which uses the front camera to sense when you are looking at your device, to keep the screen from rotating. This may need to be turned off. This can be done in Apps > Settings > Display and Wallpaper > Screen rotation > Smart rotation.
I already tried that, turned on screen rotation from mavigation bar, and had smart rotation turned off. No success, but thanks for the response. I see that others have had the same problem, with no fixes.
After doing some research on this issue, I do see that a hard reset typically fixes the problem. We can do a backup and reset if you would like! Specific instructions can be found within our Device Support Center. Once selecting your make and model, choose Tutorials > Backup & restore. This will provide you with all backup methods! For reset steps, check out Tutorials > Troubleshooting > Reset device.
Let us know how that goes! Thank you and have a great day!
