Samsung GoPhone SM-J120A, v6.0.1 Keeps trying to connect to Wi-Fi, or Disconnects from Wi-Fi
I got an update a few days ago. Now my GoPhone keeps trying to connect to Wi-Fi when I don't want it to, or it will disconnect when I want it to stay connected. It's driving me nuts! Makes the phone a pain to even use.
Try opening an app and it prompts me; "Oops! To access Wi-Fi from this hotspot, you may need to accept terms of use or log in. Open browser to continue?"
Options are to "Cancel" or "Yes" Neither option fixes the problem.
Can anyone walk me through how to fix this? Thanks

Hello there @AMRoth!
Software updates to your device can be beneficial in many ways. The difference in formats and settings can sometimes be troublesome to get adjusted to. I will be pleased to assist you in managing your Wi-Fi connection problem.
A great troubleshooting step to attempt would be to reboot your device. This entails powering your phone off and back on. The reboot is wonderful for refreshing your phone’s connection to our network.
I would also suggest removing or disabling any BLE applications such as payment apps, remote media controllers, etc. Be sure to also turn off Bluetooth if you are not using this feature. These features can ensnare the Wi-Fi connection scanner.
Please also check if your scanning settings are auto enabled. To check this, please tap on your Settings > Connections tab > Wi-Fi > scanning settings. I would also ensure your settings are not auto switching the network to Wi-Fi due to low coverage. You can turn this off via Settings > Wi-Fi > MORE > Advanced > Auto connect.
If you are still running into any additional details, please let us know! Have a great rest of your day and take care!
