Samsung Galaxy S4 Battery issue

One of my family member has got an upgrade to Galaxy S4 and now the phone battery is acting very strange. she charges the phone over 4 times a day and she isnt a extensive user. i would say she uses 4x less than i do and my battery last whole day.

I would like know how would the warranty of the phone be covered in this situation. i Do know it has a manufactor warranty but i do not know how to start the claim...

thanks in advance

first thing I would suggest is to see what is running in the background, there might be apps that are auto-updating. Go to the att.com website and do a store locate to see if there are any corporate service centers in your areaand take it into them, if not call them on the regular support number

Re: Samsung Galaxy S4 Battery issue

If the device is less than 14 days from purchase, and you bought it from an AT&T company store (not an "authorized AT&T dealer") then you can exchange for a brand new phone at the store.

Otherwise, your phone is warrantied for 1 year, for which you will need to call customer service in order to send the phone for replacement (and likely receive a refurbished device).

Or alternately, if you are lucky enough to live near an AT&T Device Support Center, you can exchance for a refurb right at the the DSC.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S4 Battery issue

Like wingrider01 and redpoint73 suggested, if you have one nearby, our Device Support Centers are the quickest and easiest way to troubleshoot or replace equipment under warranty.

More info can be found here.

If that's not a convenient option, no problem. Simply call 1-800-331-0500 or 611 (just not from the phone that's acting up) and you'll be able to talk to one of our warranty department specialists.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Dmitriy
