Retrieving data after breaking phone
I need to know how to get to my data (pics, videos) after breaking my phone. You can't see the screen or use the phone at all. I got a new phone but don't know how to retrieve my pics & videos on my new phone, using my gmail

Go to https://photos.google.com to see if all your pictures and videos have been backed up to Google. If so, the Google's Photos app will see them on your new phone once you've logged in.
If the media has not been backed up you would need to find a way to recover them from your old phone, but that could be tricky depending on how broken it is. If it's just the screen and there wasn't a protected lock screen you might be able to power it up and plug into a computer, then copy items over. If the screen is needed for unlocking the phone… not sure what can be done.
