Phone Call Dead Zone at Home

I cannot make nor receive phone calls on my LG Vista phone at home (U-verse here).  I receive voice messages but the phone does not ring, thus calls are unanswered.  Why?  My husband has the same phone and his works fine.

Hello @NotEZ4U,

I understand how important it is to have service and stay in touch! I will be happy to help. The good news is AT&T offers great options to resolve this issue.

Since you said your husband’s phone works fine, the first thing I would suggest is refreshing the network on your phone. To do so please power off the phone completely, remove your SIM card, clean the golden contacts, re-insert into the device, and power it back on again. Our Device Support Page has great step-by-step guides on how to remove and re-insert the SIM card. After selecting your phone’s make and model, please go to Tutorials – About Your Device – Phone Assembly/Insert SIM.

If still missing calls I would suggest getting a new SIM card. The good news is you can visit a local AT&T Corporate Store to obtain one at no charge. You can also set up an appointment to reduce your wait time! Additional options to replace a SIM card can be found here.

Also, we do have WiFi calling available, which I’d be happy to help you set up on your phone since you mentioned you have U-Verse. Please view our Device Support Page and enter the make and model of your device for the steps.

We are here to address your concerns. Please let us know if you have any other questions! Have a wonderful day.
