New Alcatel 5044R idealXcite not updating to latest software
My Brand new Alcatel idealXcite is still on security update July 1 2017 but the newest update online shows September 1. However when I go to ATT update on the phone it keeps telling me I have the latest software already. What gives?

Thats exactly why.... ATT only does OTA updates for phone on active accounts connected to the ATT network.

Ok, then why do I have the same issue also? My service is active and still says same thing. So problem is NOT solved....

Software update for the Alcatel IdealXCITE and CAMEOX (5044R)
How could I get the software to update my phone as a single file since I don't live in the USA and therefore I am not a AT&T customer?
Here is the latest update but I have no idea where to download it.
