Never got email from AT&T with unlock code for my Galaxy

I requested an unlock code for my 2 yr old samsung galaxy go prime that i bought from walmart off shelf and bought pre paid minutes monthly, and now i want to use a different service provider, yet i still havent received the unlock code from AT&T, it just says "in progress" since October 10th 2018 i keep waiting, called and was told to keep waiting and checking.  Its rediculous!how do i get an unlock code?????

Hello @jarellano2k4, allow us to lend a helping hand! We have recently been receiving a large amount of unlock requests. It could take a few weeks for the request to be processed. Unfortunately, there is no way to expedite the request. We recommend using our Unlock portal to track the status of your request. Thanks for reaching out to us.
