LG V10 receiving the nougat update

Just out of curiosity, is the H900 LG V10 receiving the latest nougat 7.0 update?

I already noticed T-mobile released the update for their version of the V10, I also noticed AT&T updated the G5.

Will it even be released by AT&T for the H900 V10 & If so when?

ATT phones are only updated if connected to ATT network.  So, no, you will not get updates unless you come back to the US and use ATT for service.

You must have more confidence in AT&T then I do. Or are you just talking about T-Mobile? AT&T can't (or won't) push out timely security updates and based on that nothing tells me that they will go through the trouble to update all of the bloatware to be able to push out nougat to the V10..

Just my experience, yours may be different.

@Monti22

actually the security update problem is LG which is no surprise look at all the other carriers.  Samsung is pushing out monthly updates and att is releasing them like clockwork...

As for bloatware whats there to update?  android is scalable it always has been but its gotten a ton better these days.  Most built in apps update from the play store anyway.

So here comes the run around..

Lg says they send out the updates to all carriers...

AT&T says it's Lg that's not sending them...

meanwhile it's the customer that suffers.. Frankly I don't care who's fault it is I'm just sick of the run around.

It also seems to me that whenever I make a statement about how AT&T isn't doing something, someone jumps on and tells me that it's not true because t-mobile or verison or sprint is doing it so I must be wrong. but no one ever shows me anything that says that AT&T is doing it.

And my issue is with AT&T not verison, sprint, or whoever!

Hey I blame LG period there phones plain suck.  The bootloop error on the g4 is enough to say no more.  I had a g3 and it was my last LG device.  I had a g5 for testing here and it was the worst phone I ever used.  The v20 was meh...  They still have not patch 7.0 to 7.1.1 on that device.  LG needs to give up on making phones and stick to there bread and butter things.  My daily driver right now is a pixel xl because its clean and just works.

Here is an example of lg not having the clout to stand up to the carriers.  so yeah a carrier could hold up the updates and probobly do since everyone sells so many less lg devices.  Not a surprise since they are getting nougat ready for most devices.

Hello @aboogiebk718!

Thank you for posting on the Community Forums! I understand wanting to have your phone’s system up to date to take advantage of the multiple benefits new releases bring. I will be happy to provide you some information.

While Android Nougat is out right now, when you will get the upgrade depends on your device. LG has confirmed the future release for both models: LG V10 and LG G4. AT&T currently does not have an exact date, but it is indeed heading toward both devices.

A great way to determine if an update is available for your device is through our useful Device Support tool, which provides detailed information. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Have a wonderful day!
