Latest S3 "upgrade" has problems with email, battery life
Did the upgrade yesterday and now the phone keeps dragging in emails (from Comcast) that I deleted from the phone long ago. Delete them again and they just keep coming back in the next half hour or so. Also, battery life now < 8 hours but was >30 before "upgrade." Spent 45 minutes on phone with technical support to no avail other than being told I need to buy an SD card, back up my phone, reset and reload and "That might fix it." or spend the best part of a day driving to a Device Support Center and they "might" fix it. Had the same problem email problem with my Infuse 4G after an "upgrade" 18 months or so ago and had to buy a new phone which worked fine until this "Upgrade."
Any others have the same problem?

Before factory resetting, you should try removing and re-adding your account as jii suggested. However, don't just delete the account and re-add it. Go to settings>apps and under all apps find the email app and click for info. There you will see the options to delete cache and delete data. Perform those two and then go into the email app and setup your email again. If this doesn't help, then consider the factory reset.

Thank you for the attempted concern, but the ATT website fosters further
frustration, I have registered several times since 2007.. it doesn't
recognize log in, but then will not accept my email because it's already
registered. UGH.
Yes the SG3 update problems are worse ... and there is no resolution. I
cannot email, send/receive of texts sporadic, the contacts lock up and not
one is shown on the screen.. tried cleaning out the calendar but.... the
only thing working is internet.
I have incurred extra expense to purchase backup software and lost revenue
losing two projects as an independent consultant due to tech
difficulties.... You are an individual, and I thank you for customer
service, but....
Please provide alternative direction as to where to submit my information.
But, my ATT phone is 214 392 4874 and my name is listed here. ATT --whom I
pay almost $300 per month-- should have information registered with that
number..... There is no related information on ATT tech support website.
I do not wish to be unpleasant, but .... I do not wish to spend 12 more
hours having ATT "tech" support reading to me what I see on the screen in
front of me... I have now spent six days trying to get the phone to work
and I am not a big fan of ATT at this time.
Everyone else, forgive the long message. I am usually a peaceful, loving
individual.....!!! 🙂
