So I have the LG G2 and my wife got the same phone a month after I did. When I send an emoticon it sends as an SMS message, but when my wife sends one it sends as a MMS type. I wanted to know how to change it on her phone to send as a SMS message.
Thanks for posting. After some searching, I still can't find a definite answer for why your wife's phone sends emoticons as MMS but yours does not. Have you checked to see if both devices are running the same software version?
