LG G Pad 7.0 LTE upgrade lollipop

This tablet is now in India, and not on the ATT network. How can I upgrade it to Android Lollipop? The device upgrade check always says it has the latest version, but it looks like Lollipop is out (http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000026-1408636765079-others). Since it is not active on ATT network, how do I receive an upgrade? Thanks.

You wont get upgrades since the tablet is not active on the ATT network in the US.  Att has a check built in that tells the software to update if the device is on the network.  Sorry.

Is there a way to  unlock this tablet such that I can receive updates? It makes no sense to have it locked-down, when the update is made generally available. Thanks.

Nope that tablet runs an ATT version of the software.
