I periodically get text messages on my cell phone from "Unknown Sender"

When I try to text back,  I get "Invalid Recipient".  My cell screen says, "Message not found".

Thanks for any advice you can offer!  My carrier is AT & T, I have a ZTE cell phone.

Hi @TulipBetty,

Thank you for providing us with more information. Please visit our Device Support page for some basic troubleshooting. If you are unsure which device you have, find the one whose picture matches what you have. If you are successful in doing this, let us know which device you have as well.

On the device's page, select Tutorials & videos. There will be a section titled Email and Messaging on the side. There, you will have the options to troubleshoot, and check your settings as well. See if this helps. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi, @TulipBetty,

We'd love to help with this. Do you know the unknown senders or is it connected to your apps? What type of ZTE phone do you have? Please let us know.

Hi James-

I don't know if I know the unknown sender, or not. Nor do I have any idea if this is connected with any of my apps, but I think not. When I've tried to text unknown sender back, I get a message saying "recipient not found."

Sorry, all I know is I have a ZTE phone. If you can tell me where to look to tell you what type, I will. There are no model numbers on outside of phone, anyway.

I would LOVE to resolve this issue. Although it doesn't happen often, it is bothersome.

Thank you for any other suggestions you can offer.
