Hello @Douglas77!

I hope your morning is well so far! Unlocking your Kyocera Duraforce phone is a great thing to do. This will allow it to be used on any cellphone provider which is compatible. I use my unlocked phone for travel overseas. I am more than happy to help with this today!

Here is a link to the unlock instructions page. Please click Kyocera to see the steps. Here are the instructions:

  1. Power off device and remove the AT&T SIM card.
  2. Insert a SIM card from another wireless carrier.
  3. Power on the device.
  4. Enter the unlock code when prompted.
  5. Press Unlock.
  6. The device displays "SIM Network unlock successful." The device is successfully unlocked.

I’m glad I could help! Thank you and have a great rest of your Thursday.

No pop up means:

phone is already unlocked

phone is permanently locked for entering wrong code to many times.

sim card is from an at&t mvno.

Does the phone work with non at&t sim? or say sim not supported?

Thank you for your help. Nothing about the sim not being supported. I have a t-mobile sim I've had been using in my Asus Zenfone(came unlocked) for a few years now. I've only used the keocera phone with a "freedom pop" sim which works with att or TMobile phones. I didn't think it was unlocked to begin with. I contacted att and they've given me an unlock code.

When I put my sim in the keocera phone I get a text message that says this.

”We see your phone does not have correct settings to access the internet or send MMS.Settings will be sent to your handset."

I have factory reset the phone. And still nothing.
I've seen in some other posts that there's a number you can dial, but it looks like it's based off your phone type. Next step is contacting keocera. If you can't think of anything.

That indicates its not programmed for your current carrier, but also seems like its unlocked already if it doesnt pop up with a ’sim not supported’ message.

Keocera cannt help you.

Contact your current carrier for programming sett8ngs
