I am getting 2G network instead of 3G

I am a GoPhone user. My phone is Samsung Galaxy SII HD LTE (Unlocked, brought from Korea). I am using $25.00/mon 1GB data plan.

However, I am getting 2G(GSM), not 3G. My phone works well in Korea, it even gets LTE with no problem. but if i put at&t SIM into my phone in America, I get 2g, not 3g, even after checking my phone setting and setting it to be 3G. I am supposed to get 3G network. Please help me

What UMTS bands does your phone have?  It would have to have the 850 and 1900MHz bands in order to get 3G/4G from AT&T.

it has quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100, HSPA+ 21Mbps/HSUPA 5.76Mbps, EDGE/GPRS Class 12, and Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900.

You can check the coverage map here to see if there is 3G service in your area for GoPhone.  Be sure to click on the GoPhone map to see a coverage estimate for your area.

If you are in a 3G area, go to your nearest corporate AT&T store to see if they have any further insight.
