Huawei Mate SE compatibility

Hello,

I recently purchased a Huawei Mate SE. Everything I read before purchasing indicated that the device should be compatible with AT&T's network. However, when I double checked with the IMEI number (through AT&T's BYOP site) it showed that my device was incompatible.

Any ideas on where I went wrong, or what I can do at this point to try and get the phone on AT&T would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!

Re: Huawei Mate SE compatibility

Hello @leknik18!

To work on our network, it is required that your device operates on one of these GSM frequencies:

  • 3G UMTS network - 850, 1900MHz bands
  • 4G LTE network - AWS, 700, 850, 1900MHz bands

Not sure which network frequencies your device supports? Please verify by visiting your device manufacturer’s website.

We hope this info helps!

Re: Huawei Mate SE compatibility

Thank you, that does help me confirm that the GSM frequencies appear to match. However, should I still be concerned that the IMEI number doesn't show compatibility on the Bring Your Own Phone site?

Re: Huawei Mate SE compatibility

Hello again, @leknik18!

You'll want to make sure your device isn’t reported lost, stolen, or involved with fraud at https://soc.att.com/2JJBGi3. Also, please verify that your device is unlocked from the previous carrier so we can activate it.

We hope this info is useful!

@leknik18

(Also called the 7x).

If you purchased the L24 version, for the USA, it has most currently used bands for LTE.

Any other version is not compatible.
