HTC One X emoticons

Just received the update yesterday.  Screwed up all my settings.  One thing I noticed is the emoticons have disappeared from the text messaging menu.  Anyone else had this problem?  Do they no longer exist as an option to add to text messages?  Really beginning to hate this phone.  Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
