Galaxy s8 plus still dident recieve software update !!

I went yesterday he updated it to same security pach and version lol it was weird then he told me he dosent have latest one. but if i put working att sim card will it come up and i can update then go back use my cricket, will it work? Thank you all for helping

At&t only updates phones connected to the att network. Postpaid or gophone that's it. Your never going to get updates. Also samsung experience centers won't have the updates for at least a week or two.
