Galaxy s8 active sound/notification problem
I have an s8 active and a few months ago android updated and removed the custom notification sound for messages, I'm not talking about ringtone but text messages. Now u cant even change the notification sound for my incoming texts, it still uses a sound file that I deleted a couple months ago to try and solve the problem. The other solution I tried was to reset settings to factory, and to my surprise it still uses a phantom sound that is no longer on my device. Other than possibly doing a complete factory reset on the phone is there any other way to fix this problem?

I have an galaxy s8 active for a year now, and with the latest software update, I believe 8.0 I have no text messaging notification sound. All app sounds and ringtones work just fine, just the text sound has not been working for about 3 days now. I need a fix because everything I've read is for the S8 and S8+ and they have not worked. Help needed asap.

After my s8+ just updated my notification sound was changed from Good News to the ATT Chat In sound. At least three times I have changed it back to Good News through notification settings and it keeps going back to the ATT sound.
This phone seems to get screwed up every time there is an update from losing my always on clock display, losing the numbers on messages etc...always something. And, it usually takes a bunch of research to fix the problem. Any one else have these issues? Any advise on how to stop my phone from setting notification sound to that annoying ATT Chat In sound?
