"Ok what I did different was I kept a YouTube video playing the whole time it was downloading every time the video would stop the network activity indicators would show it was downloading for a little bit then activity would stop so I'd start another video. Sounds like a lot of trouble but try to keep a YouTube video going the whole time the download is going. If you try this and it works let everyone know."
This is getting better every time I read this thread!!!! I heard when the next update
comes from ATT(4.4), that there is this special "Magic Spell" you have to say 3 times,
walk backwards 3 steps, put your right foot in and shake it all about!! Then the download
will start and they guarantee this will work. Can't wait to try it!!!! Ha Ha!!!

Same problem others are having. The download just quits on me randomly. However, on a single occassion the download finished, and it appeared to update. I rebooted the phone to finish the update, saw an update progress bar under the boot logo, everything looked fine. When it finished booting and presented me with my homescreen, a message appeared to tell me that the update could not be completed. Why? Way to provide a verbose message telling me what went wrong. I tried updating a few more times but the download never completed again.
What I don't understand is, if the download finished once, and the update failed, why should I have to download it again? I should be able to hit "continue update", but that is always grayed out. This is very frustrating.

Am I reading this right att already has the 4.3 update? I'm totally shocked! I thought it would be another year at least. im on 4.3 custom Rom and it's working great. Sounds like updating is a huge mistake as it's riddled with bugs galore.

Well unfortunately I got mine to work. Here is how,
Cleared the update cache in App Manager, then pulled the battery out. restarted the device, (changed the date cause it failed less then 24 hours ago) then started the download. Worked with out a hitch after trying for the last couple of weeks.
Now I got to deal with this crazy battery drain issue.

How do you install this update via the zip file? Kies won't install the update and I keep getting an error message from my device when I try to install over WIFI. Now it says I have to wait 24 hours to check for updates again...

I finally got the last two phones updated and they were a pain just like the first two. AT&T's software update seems to be a flaky piece of software. After a mix of killing the software update processes, clearing the update app's cache, baby-sitting the phone during the entire download (it failed once but luckily I got it to resume where it left off), sacrificing a goat, holding a seance, and saying the magic word while dancing around the house naked, I finally got the update to work. Don't they test these things? Come on AT&T.

YES THE MOBILE DATA TOGGLE IS STILL MISSING. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE FIXED IN THE NEXT UPDATE.

My phone upgradded to 4.3 by itself too, and now I am forced to use Google Maps 7.4, while I had kept my evices on Maps 6.14 so I could have access to My Maps. Now I lost that feature and I need it. I want back to Android 4.2.2 or at least be able to install Google Mpas 6.14. Can anybody help?

I'm not in the US, I'm actually in the Philippines and I'm using an AT&T model S4. I still don't have the updated software. It checks for any update, and then instantly shows Software Update Interrupted and there's no update available for my device. Is this normal, will I ever get to update my phone? Am I the only one not in the US that can't update their S4?
