Yes, I have tried a car charger and a high powered USB port (mac mini). This is charging just as slow as my ipad used to on a non high powered usb port. Anyone have a solution or a recommendation? It's so slow I cant even tell its charging if the screen is on while charging.

Try gettng another charger, some chargers dont push as much power as others I hear because of how they are made.

Are you using a USB port? AC adapters charge much faster.
