Why is facebook not updating?

I am having a problem with my facebook app updating the latest news feed and it won't pull up comments. All i get is the little round circle going round and round. I recently just had att U-verse and internet added but it it's a wifi problem, it's not affecting nothing else. I can get facebook through phone internet and all is fine and all my other apps are working. I already took the app off and reinstalled it a couple of times. It just seems to work fine at times and other times it won't. I have a galaxy s6 active. It did go through an update about a month ago but i think this just started recently.

I had to reset my phone and it's working fine now. I had encrypted my phone earlier and apparently it didn't agree with some of the apps or setting?? It's doing better now that i reset it and took off the encrypting.

Since you have already tried uninstalling, and you have tested this on Wi-Fi and mobile data, we will have to try some other troubleshooting steps.

Please try clearing the apps cache/data. To do this, go to Settings > Apps/Application Manager > Facebook > Clear Cache/Data. Then restart the device, and try launching Facebook.

If the issue continues, make sure your phone is on the latest software. To do this, head over to our Device Support Page. Select your make and model, scroll down, and select “Software updates”. This will show you the latest version, and advise you on how to update to it if needed.

If everything else on the phone is working like normal, try reaching out to Facebook and reporting the problem. You can do this here: Report a problem with Facebook App.

I tried making some more changes in and today it's working fine so don't know if it's the wifi change or if Facebook got it fixed. I read where some people were having problem with the smart wifi so i disabled it and went to original wifi and it's been working fine so far. Don't know if it was a problem or not but keeping my fingers crossed.

Update, facebook still not working and it's not the phone nor wifi, it's the app. Other people are having problems with it too.

Facebook is trying to make things easier for people and they are creating his own articficial intlegence system so don't worry face book will be updated soon.
