ERO5 invalid sim card
Recently moved to my son's AT&T family plan from Sprint. I get invalid sim notice when arettempting to use wifi calling.
I work in mountains and have no cell service so this was important to me. The guy from at&t said I would be able to use wifi calling. Phone is a loaner (ZTE 981 6.0.1)that is older but has WF capabilities.

Hello, @Dbora009!
Updated
If you bring your device from another carrier, the Wi-Fi calling feature will not work. Wi-Fi Calling only work on AT&T Compatible/ Branded devices on postpaid accounts.
You will find more information in our "about Wi-Fi calling support link".
If your devices is an AT&T devices and compatible, let us know and not working, let us know.

Hello @Ddbora009,
We're happy to help! If you are a postpaid customer, all you have to do is enable Wi-Fi calling from your device to use the feature. Since your phone is not an AT&T device, we do recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for assistance troubleshooting if this feature is not working.
Let us know if you have any further questions!

Bobbie is wasting your time. This phone unless ATT branded will NEVER get wifi calling. The only android phone that is not ATT branded that will get WiFi calling is the Google Pixel 3 series.

Can this type of wrong info get corrected? A list of compatible phones would be a nice thing. Its a short list really.

My phone has gone to “ invalid sim” now two days in a row. I must power cycle for it to return. This have never in all my Apple life happend. Can you please explain as to what’s making this happen. Is the SIM card loose. Or just faling. I’m a former employee of Dobson communications and Verizon so I know my jargon. Thanks

How old is the phone. And I would check the sim card holder for cracks as it does happen. It could be a bad sim slot or it could be a software problem.
