4g LTE on but not working

My 4g internet will not work. When my wifi connection is lost or off, my 4g internet turns itself off too.

i had to reset the network on the website and it fixed it, https://www.att.com/support/ts/wireless/Troubleshoot&Resolve is where i went.  You will need to use this on a computer

Hello @bohanna379!

 

I am so sorry to hear you have not been able to experience 4G data service whenever your Wi-Fi connection is turned off. I totally understand how frustrating this can be, especially if you are trying to accomplish any important tasks on your device. I would be elated to assist you in getting this taken care of.

 

The first thing we will want to double check is if data is turned on. In order to do this, you are going to want to go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Mobile Data > Toggle on. You would also be able to see these steps on your Device Support. When you arrive on the page, please choose your phone’s make and model; then choose Tutorials > Connectivity > Signal & cellular data. After you have verified it is on, go ahead and turn the phone off for about 20 seconds then turn it back on & test it by trying to use the Internet.

All you have to do when you get on the page, is make sure you have your device’s make and model selected. Then please click on Internet under the Service/network issues section to begin personalized troubleshooting just for you.

Pay alot of $ for services..i should be able to transition from wifi to 4g seamlessly without "turning phone off and on" s8+. Switching to Verizon is an option.

Ever since the Security alert today my 4glte bars are showing on my S9 Note but will not load any pages tried 2 different browsers. Whats the issue?

 I have exactly the same problem ,tmibrat - after the alert on my note 9, I've lost all of my internet functionality on 4g LTE.

Per AT&T support and other sources, the text apparently caused an outage in the network that affected some but not all phones and their data. No known ETA yet, but it isn't just you.
