Galaxy Note 8 - Sticker key is now in the input line on the messaging app - want it gone

My Galaxy Note 8 just got what I assume is the latest software update.  I have noticed now that where the emoji key used to be on the input line (where you type texts) in the messaging app., the sticker key is now there.  Does anyone know how to remove it or change that back to the emoji key?  I never use stickers.
