I have an LG G2 phone configured to sync my contacts to my Gmail account. It was working without problems. Recently I checked and now I see an error message "sync is currently experiencing problems" and that the last time the contacts synced was 5/25/2016, two years ago. All the other Google sync options have been working and show a current sync date. I have talked with an AT&T store tech and they didn't know why or how to fix it, so here I am. I have selected the sync option off then back on, without help. I have selected the sync option off, then powered off the phone, restarted it and reset the sync on, same error message.

It can be concerning having your phone stop syncing your contacts. It will be my pleasure to help guide you! I recommend visiting our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool. This great resource is like getting in touch with a tech support agent without having to call in and wait on the phone. After selecting your phones make and model, please go to Device/Software Issues > Backup, Sync, Restore or Transfer.
Have a marvelous day!

Tried all the things the tool said to do, with no luck. I was unable to add an existing account which was one of the things to do, but that may be because I didn't delete the original account first. I didn't want to delete the account as everything else is working.
