Can you please tell me how the daily fee is calculated? Is it for a 24 hour period or per calendar day?

It is using 24 hours period,but it is using CST.It will renew again at 23:59 CST.
For example,
if you get charged for the $2 at 14:00 ,your $2 will last you until 23:59 that day.
If you ONLY using your phone at night between 23:55 to 0:05 CST,you will get charged $4 ($2 x 2 )
The $2 plan will be good until 23:59 the following day.
