Equipment unusable after canceling monitoring service
i cancelled my monitoring service with digital life and knew that the app wouldn't work anymore (meaning I couldn't use the camera or lighting packages) but what I didn't know was that I couldn't use my entire system! I can't operate the alarm and I don't have door chimes anymore. with other services we had, we bought the equipment and paid for monthly monitoring. when we cancelled the monitoring eventually, the equipment still worked...it just wasn't monitored by a company who called the police or fire or whomever. now i have a ton of expensive equipment that doesn't work and have been told that I need to reinstate my monitoring service and pay monthly in order to use my alarm and door chimes and anything else that goes with it (which I don't care about). how is this ethical? customer service at digital life sucks...they have a script to read from, I swear.
