I have a prepaid plan, how can I change my phone number and how much does it cost?

Hello @ID1348.

 

We’d be happy to help you change your PREPAID wireless number. The change is only $10 if you do it via our automated phone system. Just call 611 from your wireless device, select 4 for More Options, select 3 for Account Changes, and select Change Wireless Number. If you’d rather speak to a representative, we can arrange to change the number over the phone for a $15 fee. Let us know if you would prefer that option. Thanks for reaching out!

@ID1348 Another option is to open a new prepaid account with a new sim card and new number and let your old account and number expire. This avoids the $10 or $15 fee but any balance on the old account would be lost. If you carry a $0 balance, this way might be cheaper.

Hi, Thanks for the comments, I followed the link you provided and noticed that there is an extra "Daily" charge mentioned as below:
"
- You'll be charged a daily fee for any usage on your AT&T PREPAID device, including the same day of the AT&T PREPAID number change. 
"Wondering what it means, I pay monthly $50, is there any other charges on top of that once changed my wireless number?

Hi, Thanks for the comments, I hit the link provided and noticed that there is an extra "Daily" charge mentioned as follows:

"
Wondering what the daily fee means, is there any other extra charges ( except $10~15) due to the number change?
