WiFi Calling on GoPhone?

I ended up on ATT GoPhone beucase the Retention department wanted to keep my account... I was under the impression all features would keep working after the switch (although my fault not asking specifically about WiFi Calling!).

Anywho, I'm still debating switching to T-Mobile (For the exact same plan and the exact same price) just because I can also get WiFi Calling on my prepaid account.

Does AT&T plan to add this feature to the prepaid service any time soon? Or should I just switch and call it a day?

Hey there @soochie1,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues activating the Wi-Fi calling feature on your device. I know that this is a highly sought after feature and provides additional coverage in certain areas. For the time being this feature is only available on postpaid accounts. Certain network elements required for Wi-Fi calling are not available on our prepaid network.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Hi,

As ATT go phone user, I believe, it's an important feature to have, and should be enabled for all consumers, just like competition such as Tmobile or Sprint is able to provide.

ATT is at least a year from bringing it out on prepaid gophone service.  They still have bugs to work out.
