My daughter just received a political solicitation text except it was addressed to my wife. The only way someone could associate my wife (primary account holder) with my daughters number is if they received that info from AT&T At no time have I given permission to give mine or my family’s phone numbers to anyone

Hi @Mrprayfor,
I am sorry you are having this trouble with receiving unwanted texts. I am more than pleased to assist with this!
I completely understand how important it is to not have to worry about receiving unwanted texts. Since the text was political in origin I am going to suggest registering wit donotcall.gov this should fix the issue.
Have a great rest of your day!

Was the text addressed to your wife’s full name or just her first name? I received a political text last week myself. It was addressed via first name only and not my name or anyone I know. In other words, wrong number. If the text your daughter received was first name only, it matching your wife could be a coincidence. Besides, ATT does not sell your contact info. There are many ways to associate cell phone numbers to names, social media being one of the biggest. Your conclusion that ATT selling your info is the only way is not accurate. There are other ways.
