Morocco - Cannot call or text on iPhone 4s - have global text, data and messaging
My daughter is in Rabat Morocco (Day 1), for one month, we are able to text (mom USA) but she cannot text or call anyone on her iPhone4s, either locally or back to US. Her phone has Global Messaging, Global Data and Global voice signed up to start July 27th.
Questions?
Does she need to add an exit code to all the US phone numbers for text and voice??
Why is she able to text me, but no one else??
What to do next?? Any help would be appreciated.
Tried discussing with ATT rep on phone, but was assured everything would work fine .....

Hello pkeye1,
I apologize for the late response. If you have the iPhone too, then she's most likely texting you using the iMessage system, which works over data. To call or text US numbers, she might need to add +1 before the area code, but it's usually not required as newer phones, like iPhones, have the international assist feature and take care of that themselves. I'd try that if she's still having issues.
