Disappointed with internet service options

I recently called to look into the unlimited plan for the hotspot att does not provide home internet to my location and all I keep getting told is to switch to unlimited on my phone. This will not work as the bandwidth is not enough to run the computer systems I need for school. I was told this option is no longer available as of may but when I spoke with att before that I was never given the info on an unlimited option I am beginning  to think I need to look at other companies with better customer service ethics
