Call Protect iPhone Compatibility

I activated Call Protect on my iPhone 6 but have been unable to do so on the iPhone 5s on my account.  I was told that the 5s was not compatible with Call Protect.  Can anyone confirm this is correct?

Hey there @dd5087,

 

Our new Call Protect app is a great new feature to prevent unwanted calls, spam and even fraud.  Personally, I have had a lot of telemarketers bug me so I see where you’re coming from!  I would be happy to confirm the information.

 

After some research, I did find you are correct.  The iPhone 5S is not compatible with the feature.  This is because the app uses our HD Voice system.  At this time, the models before the iPhone 6 are not HD Voice enabled devices.

 

This can change in future, so I would definitely keep an eye out for any updates to HD Voice and also the Call Protect application.  For more information regarding these and other fantastic new changes please check out the included links, and our forum thread.

@dd5087   You can try an app called DU Caller.  It works with non ATT phones.

This helped answer my questions, but unfortunately does not resolve my problem with telemarketing calls several times a day. I too have an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 5s.

 

I hope compatibility for the iPhone 5s is achieved soon.
