Hello! @Ashes9able  I’ll be happy to help with some suggestions on web filtering.

Depending on the phone you have, if it’s a smart phone, there are plenty of free apps out there for safe browsers that provide filtering for undesirable sites. If you go to the store front on your phone and do a search for web filtering or safe browser, you should see plenty of free apps you can download and install.

Thanks!

This is false. There is no good app in the Google play store that actually blocks pornogrpahy.

Apparently AT&T used to have this feature but no longer does. Probably because they make money off the data use.

Tmobile has a free feature called Web Guard, that blocks all explicit content. I highly suggest you switch to Tmo, as I probably will because of this.

AT&T - please give us the ability to block pornography while on AT&T data.

That is true.  TMobile has a feature called Webguard I had on an iPhone 5s for four months while I tested the TMO service in my area.  I was very impressed with the Webguard service and it blocked nearly everything inappropriate, and only once or twice the whole time, blocked something that was fine.  Adding those fine sites to the ok list was simple by the way, it's done on the TMO website.

Unfortunately TMO didn't work as well in our area and when they failed to renew roaming agreements with other providers where they had spotty coverage, I decided it wasn't an option for my family and business despite the much better pricing and fantastic filtering service.

I expected AT&T to have something similar, but they don't.  After many, many hours of phone calls, it became clear AT&T has nothing.  They point you to IOS restriction setting and 3rd party apps.  They have no clue why there is no comparison.

Doing a good job of filtering content and keeping it from coming down the pipe is where it's at, and TMobile does a fantastic job.  I consider AT&T socially irresponsible for not even trying, and am frustrated having paid AT&T phone bills over $10,000 so far.

AT&T you need to fix this or I and all my friends are going to T-Mobile. Sincerely,

I don't understand, is your phone accidentally downloading a lot of porn?

Sounds like a phone issue, not an AT&T issue.

Yeah this is AT&T's fault. No accountability @Gary L. That's funny!

Um.  I don't get porn on my phone.  But then again, I'm not looking for any.

I would consider this a user problem or a phone problem.

iPhone has content filters under restriction.  (General, restrictions, turn on and set filters.)

I'm wondering if something else (infected/malware) was installed that's causing problems.

Yeeeeaaahhhh. That might be it.

Lets just say I found out some perfectly innocent things you should never plug into a search engine.  But once you do, you realize the horrible mistake or double entendre.

I would list the perfectly innocent words, but we keep the forum clean.

The problem is related to not wanting stuff coming though a young teens phone. IOS content filter on phone steps in at the phone level, show things partially then asks for a password (set by a parent on the phone usually) asks for passwords too much, etc. T-MOBILE just prevented it from showing up, was much better. Don't know if some posters just being wise by saying if you don't want it don't search for it. Thinking more about kids and also some people don't want to see it because they don't want to be drawn into it. BTW for Wifi "Circle with Disney" is an excellent product for $100, Best Buy etc. it is a content filter but way more, let's you set time limits for Facebook, Snapchat, Netflix, your kids PS4 etc. much better that controls on the router. Easily with $500.
