This app is completely useless for parents unless you make it so the VPN can not be disabled OR Apple makes it so that parents can restrict the device management feature on iPhones.

This has been the most frustrating experience as a parent.  I thought I had everything filtered and that I was keeping her off the internet at various times and turns out I was keeping her from doing anything.

The only thing that works on this app is the location feature.

I get an alert about her location everyday, but I can't do anything to control what she is doing on her phone.  Fabulous.

Why can't AT&T fix this problem??

And why can't we limit time on their phone or have a shutoff time at night????

Super frustrated.

Just a terrible app with a complete lack of intuitiveness.  As other have expressed it is way to easy for our children to either disable VPN or simply delete the app.  This is NOT parental control.

There are better apps to track your child's location but I need this to limit data access at night or my daughter will be on Snapchat all night long.

For a hefty monthly charge coupled with the time this app has been released it extremely disappointing that AT&T has not addressed this.

The real solution is switching to T-Mobile because their Family Allowances does what Smart Limits used to do.  I was a AT&T customer for over 20 years and switched because of this issue.

You can still block internet usage.. and yes it doesn’t make since to pair it if the child can easily delete the app 😕 AT&T needs to take consideration from parents views and comments. I don’t think pairing is a good idea to block apps because even if you don’t pair the phone, we can block the internet but we should be able to block apps without pairing phones..Another way is to make changes on screen time but you have to get the phone from your child to have acces, but that is another battle as well... I enjoyed smart limits but I don’t remember that we were able to block apps. Good Luck, Hope AT&T make changes and soon.

My child can't access any web page at all. I've cleared All of the content blockers and she still can't browse to ANY web page nor play any game that requires a network connection. . Can't go to family.com. The phone is useless. If I uninstall AT&T secure app, the phone works fine. Paid it back - no web browsing. My only option is to uninstall and turn off the service. Pure at&t garbage.
